Welcome to DUNEDIN RIDE! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DUNEDIN RIDE website, booking system, and our airport taxi transportation services ("Services"). By booking a ride, using our website, or otherwise accessing our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions

"DUNEDIN RIDE," "we," "us," or "our" refers to DUNEDIN RIDE, the provider of the airport taxi services.

"You" or "the Customer" refers to any individual or entity booking or using our Services.

"Driver" refers to an independent contractor who provides transportation services through DUNEDIN RIDE.

"Booking" refers to the request made by you for transportation Services.

"Personal Information" has the meaning given in our Privacy Policy.

"Service Area" refers to the geographical areas within which DUNEDIN RIDE operates and provides services.
2. Use of Our Services

Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in New Zealand for contractual capacity) to use our Services or make a Booking. By using our Services, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Booking Process:

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when making a Booking, including pickup/drop-off details, date, time, and contact information.

All Bookings are subject to availability. We will confirm your Booking via email or SMS.

You are responsible for ensuring the details of your Booking are correct, especially pickup times and locations relative to your flight schedule.

Airport Pickups and Drop-offs:

We will make reasonable efforts to meet your specified pickup times. However, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, unforeseen circumstances, or the actions of third parties.

For airport pickups, please provide your flight number if possible. Drivers will typically wait for a reasonable period (e.g., 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time or after landing, to be specified) to account for flight delays. Extended waiting times may incur additional charges.

It is your responsibility to be ready for pickup at the designated time and location.

Payment:

You agree to pay the fare for the Services booked, along with any applicable fees, taxes, or surcharges (e.g., waiting time, tolls, airport surcharges).

Fares quoted are estimates and may vary based on actual travel time, route, or additional services requested.

Payment is due upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed.

3. Your Responsibilities

Behaviour: You agree to behave in a responsible and orderly manner during the journey. You shall not:

Smoke in the vehicle.

Consume alcohol or illegal substances.

Disturb the Driver or other passengers.
-
Damage the vehicle or its contents.
-
Open the vehicle doors while the vehicle is in motion.

Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your personal belongings. DUNEDIN RIDE and its Drivers are not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle. Lost property can be claimed by contacting us.

Children: If travelling with children who require car seats, you are responsible for providing and correctly installing appropriate car seats. Drivers are not permitted to install car seats.

Animals: Animals are generally not permitted in vehicles unless pre-arranged and agreed upon, and may incur additional charges. Service animals are an exception.*
4. DUNEDIN RIDE's Responsibilities and Limitations

Service Provision: We will use reasonable endeavours to provide the Services as booked and to maintain a safe and reliable service.

Driver Status: Our Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of DUNEDIN RIDE. DUNEDIN RIDE acts as a booking agent and platform.

Liability Limitations:

DUNEDIN RIDE's liability for any loss or damage suffered by you arising from the provision of Services is limited to the fare paid for the specific journey giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.

We are not liable for delays or failures to provide Services caused by events beyond our reasonable control (Force Majeure), including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, war, terrorism, strikes, or severe weather.

We are not liable for the conduct of Drivers beyond our vetting process and our role as a booking agent. Any claims arising directly from the Driver's conduct during the journey should be addressed directly with the Driver or, if necessary, reported to DUNEDIN RIDE.*

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Customer Cancellations:

Cancellations made more than [e.g., 24] hours before the scheduled pickup time will incur no charge.

Cancellations made within [e.g., 24] hours but more than [e.g., 12] hours before the scheduled pickup time may incur a cancellation fee of [e.g., 50%] of the fare.

Cancellations made within [e.g., 12] hours of the scheduled pickup time, or for no-shows, will be charged the full fare.

DUNEDIN RIDE Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel a Booking if:

You fail to meet your responsibilities under these Terms.

A Driver is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

We deem the journey unsafe or impractical.
-
In such cases, we will attempt to notify you as soon as possible and may offer an alternative or a full refund if payment has been made.

Refunds: Refunds for overcharges or services not rendered will be processed within [e.g., 7-14] business days.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the DUNEDIN RIDE website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of DUNEDIN RIDE or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any part of our website without our prior written consent.
7. Privacy
Your use of our Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
8. Modifications to Terms and Services
We reserve the right to modify these Terms or discontinue our Services at any time without prior notice. Any changes to these Terms will be posted on our website. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
